Hi, I’m Arelle Yacoby, founder of BookSmart Studio. 

I’m a numbers nerd with a creative soul. I graduated Fordham University with a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Master’s in Taxation. I’ve built a 15+ year career, working for big firms such as Ernst & Young, LP and becoming CFO of a private company. Although my background may be heavy in number crunching, I also get what it’s like to be a creative trying to make a living doing what you love. 

Growing up in a family of creatives, and being a creative myself, I know how easy it is to get overwhelmed by bookkeeping and financial stuff when you’d rather be painting, designing, writing, or building your business. That’s why I started BookSmart Studio — to bring my accounting know-how together with an understanding of the creative hustle. 

I help creative entrepreneurs take control of their finances without losing their spark. My approach is all about making bookkeeping simple, clear, and tailored to how you work — so you can spend less time stressing over numbers and more time creating. 

When I’m not balancing books or crunching numbers, you’ll probably find me shopping for home decor, making jewelry, or curating something beautiful, recharging my own creativity.
